Big Cruise Liners and Container Vessels

Peter was born in the Cook Islands but grew up in Howick, heavily interested in sailing and water sports from a young age. He was in the Howick Sea Scouts, a member of Howick Sailing Club and also Shelly Park Sailing Club. Peter and his dad learnt to sail together and his dad's investment in a Sunburst yacht set the ball rolling, great investment for father and son bonding. This influenced Peter's career choice greatly, especially after a trip on the Spirit of Adventure. He attended Cockle Primary School.

At aged 18 - Peter went away to sea in 1981 and finally returned to New Zealand at the beginning of 2015.

It’s been a real journey to many corners of the globe and back as a Qualified Master Foreign Going and a Maritime Pilot.
