Glenn Urquhart returns with another entertaining and interesting topic which we all will enjoy.
Glenn is an accomplished Public Presenter with a background in Science and Aviation. He developed a keen interest in Science and Astronomy from an early age and has been a Science Educator in the field of Astronomy for over thirty five years. He is a past Director of Auckland Observatory and a past President of the Auckland Astronomical Society. He is very experienced at presenting aeronautical matters to a lay audience in an understandable and meaningful way helping people understand more about this puzzling topic. His presentations are dynamic and entertaining. In addition to a science background, Glenn is a qualified Commercial Pilot since 1974 & a Training flight Instructor. He has been involved in training flight crew for airlines around the world including Boeing 737-800.
Speech Synopsis: Early flight training including technological developments over 50 years. Operation of a modern airliner and some details about flight safety. Also, how to overcome "fear of flying" for those that suffer from it.
