The Rotary Club of Pakuranga has initiated some wonderful community projects. Beginning all those years ago when the Club Rotarians including Bill Duncan and Bob Ritchie as Charter Members started the famed Rotary Walkway and over recent times, the joint projects with the Howick Local Board at Bramley Beach. Included in those projects is the Snakes and Ladders Playground and you will see from the photo, a shot of the project was on the front cover of the Howick Local Board’s recent report.

Rotary projects can have a wider use in terms of projecting our image into the Community than we ever thought possible. We can therefore reflect on the Club’s activities in the Community over the past 48 years with pride.

I wonder what the future members of the Club will think of the legacy we are leaving and still focussing on by adding PWOA alongside the Rotary Walkway?

Next week Allan Vester will have completed a Frequently Asked Question and Answer document which we trust will add to the understanding of the current PWOA proposal.
