Dedicated teams of Pakuranga Rotarians and their partners lent their support to the Emergency Response Kit Programme, helping to assemble and pack another batch of Emergency Response Kits.

The Club has received an email of thanks for our the efforts put in and is published here for your information.
Hello to all the Club Co-ordinators who raised volunteers for this year’s Emergency Response Kit assembly programme.

There are three parts to this email:

1. Thanks!
2. Some data on the ERK program to share with your Club Members
3. Pics needed for marketing

1.   First up, let me say thanks on behalf of the ERK Program Leadership Team for a fabulous response from 21 Clubs for this year’s project - you did an awesome job. We were really impressed with the turn-out, the willingness to participate and the extra-ordinary productivity that got the job done proficiently and on time. Please pass our thanks to your members for a job exceedingly well done!
On Sat 28th July, RC Ellerslie Sunrise, AG David Hawke and others loaded the ERKs into two containers and the doors were closed! All done.

And special thanks to all Clubs who financially supported the ERK program (RNZWCS www.rnzwcs.org )

2.    Here are some summary stats to share with your Club members:
-          Of the 750 ERKs assembled this year, 600 will remain in Auckland ready for dispatch to the Pacific Islands as needed and 150 will be shipped to Samoa to re-stock the kits held there (following cyclone Gita).
-          Here are the ‘volunteer hours’ provided by Clubs for 2018:

Note that on top of the Club volunteer hours, the Leadership Team put in an additional 605 hrs. Total volunteer hours 1,431hrs.

3.       On a final note, Stuart Batty, Executive Director RNZWCS Ltd, is looking for some great pics to publish in various media. I would appreciate if you could send me your three best ERK pics (3 only please!). If the pics are of 1-4 people, you will need to include their names. Greater than 4 people will be captioned with ‘volunteers from Rotary Club of  ….….’ Please ensure that members consent to their pictures being used for publicity purposes.

Once again thanks for your support

Best regards
Dennis
