Warbirds at Ardmore

Farm Cove resident Gavin Trethewey was a RNZAF strike pilot for 12 years, then 34 years an airline pilot during which time he got interested in warbird aircraft. During his time with NZ Warbirds he has held the positions of Chief flying instructor, Operations manager, and President. He has been involved in airshow organisation and displaying.

Gavin has flown displays at all of N.Z.’s major airshow venues and most of the minor ones with over 300 displays in aeroplanes ranging from WW1 through WW2 fighters and post war jets.
