From the amount of feedback I have had this Conference was an amazing success.

To begin, 10 Rotarians and Partners broke the journey to Napier by staying the Thursday Night in Taupo at The Millennium ( Manuels).A perfect way to relax and socialise with some of the Pakuranga Team. Clive and Jill Mc Donald joined us for Dinner.

Friday morning on to Napier where we joined the rest of the Pakuranga Team, 28 in total, staying at The Scenic Te Pania Hotel right opposite The Convention Centre.

Friday Evening we had the Conference Opening accompanied with Canapes and Drinks. A chance to meet other Rotarians from other Clubs. All of our group continued on to Hungermonger Restaurant which was a nice way to complete the evening.

Saturday morning, Pakuranga really stood out completely filling 2 complete rows in the conference room, all looking ever so smart in our Polo Shirts and Caps and Hats.A Very powerful Cultural Welcome from The William CoLenso college was very moving.-

The Speakers  over the Weekend were all most entertaining, some say the best that we have had, including Tom Mulholland, Mike Williams,Sharon Crean, Nigel Latta,Janie Elrick, and DR. Harold Hillman.

Saturday afternoon, a large group of us went on a Tour through the Napier Prison, most enjoyable, a hilarious guide, fortunately no one was kept over night!!

Saturday Night after Pre Dinner Drinks we all experienced a night of Art Deco Elegance with a number of very stunning outfits.

Sunday Morning, more speakers and a final opportunity to talk to other Rotarians from other clubs over morning tea.

Like all Conferences, a wonderful way to enjoy Fellowship and make new friends.

District Governor Ingrid Waugh and her team must feel very proud having put on a ist class Conference.
