Ted van Arkel has been a professional director since retiring from the position of Managing Director of Progressive Enterprises Limited in November 2004. He is currently Chair of The Warehouse Group and Restaurant Brands, having recently relinquished his Chairmanship of Health Benefits.  Ted is also a Director of the AWF Group, Abano Healthcare Group and is a Director of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. 

Private companies that Ted is involved with are Philip Yates Securities (Pioneer Seeds) and Danske Mobler.  Prior appointments include Chair of UNITEC Institute and the Charlies Group and Director of Paper Plus and the Auckland Regional Transport.  Ted has been a Rotarian since 1983 joining the Panmure Club and then later Parnell at the time of its formation and is married and has 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
